It has been a long past year for not only us but for the entire events industry. At The Trade Group, we were thrilled at the news of shows starting back up. Our excitement compounded when we learned that not one, not two, but three of our clients would be attending Aviation Week’s MRO Americas 2021 this past month in Orlando, FL.

It’s great to be back at shows but we definitely want to point out some of the safety features that attendees can anticipate seeing at shows for the foreseeable future. One noticeable change is the widening of aisles to allow for more people to pass comfortably and at a safe distance. You’re also going to see a ton of hand sanitizer stations; in fact, almost every single exhibit is equipped with hand sanitizer. You’ll also see no shaking of hands as people approach each other in the booth and health and safety signage the signage is prevalent throughout the convention center and show floor.

TTG clients Aero Corp, AvAir, and Vertical all had standout showings. Everyone was incredibly pleased with the turnout at the show and at the quality of the attendees. “Everyone is chomping at the bit being here. We’re really excited about the turnout: new faces, old faces, the vibe is just really buzzing,” says Nina Boyd with AvAir.

Although the conference wasn’t as big as previous years, attendees and exhibitors alike agree that it is definitely on the rise and bodes well for the future of the events industry. Trade shows are back and it’s a really great thing to see. But not only are they back, they’re back with high quality attendees and they’re back safely.
